COVID-19 UPDATE FOR OET
From the VP Of Marketing, Valerie Lantz
Dear OETer’s
You may have heard rumors about reviving the 2020 State Ride in July, and associated Work Party, in June.
We thought about having both when Phase 2 allowed larger groups…but due to restrictions, it’s very difficult to social distance in a fun campsetting.
The majority of the registered campers said “Let’s do it in 2021.” SO the 2020 CANCELLATION REMAINS IN PLACE.
We’re going to have an even better gathering in 2021! We will re-open registration in 2021 while keeping those already registered on the list as most have requested.
In the meanwhile, we’re working on protocols for other trail work with social distancing in mind and are making progress, however, the USFS is not ready for volunteers to do trail work until July or later. As soon as we receive the OK from the USFS, we will let you know and eager members will be back to volunteering!
So, here’s to all of you finding ways to have fun in 2020 with small group social rides! Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!
