It is my “horse trailer NIGHTMARE season” – SPRING is when people get excited about hauling and having fun with their horses – but when the lack of maintenance, failure to use the correct towing vehicle matched to the trailer, and failure to understand the hitch system get us ALL in trouble.
You don’t have to be an expert – but this document should be shared with ALL of your horse hauling friends and with your Pony Club, 4H organizations, and others – make sure that when you hitch your trailer – you KNOW what you are doing and are as safe as you can make it.
They depend on US – to do it right and due diligence to make it safe for them.
