The passage of the Great American Outdoors (GAO) Act was a huge accomplishment for the outdoor recreation industry and the thousands of businesses, large and small, that make up the $788 billion recreation economy. The outdoor recreation community has an unprecedented opportunity to have its voice and priorities carried out through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and the maintenance backlog. In order to maximize this funding opportunity, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) has put together a survey to capture outstanding LWCF eligible projects that will meet a diverse array of outdoor recreation needs, support rural economic development goals and increase access to especially underserved communities that don’t have recreation nearby. We encourage you to share this survey with your community to submit projects that may be eligible for funding!
