Kim McCarrel presents “Riding the Sisters Country”

October 22, 2020

The Bjarne Holm Speaker series is pleased to present Kim McCarrel.

Trail-riding season is here! Lucky for us, the equestrian trails near Sisters offer some of the best riding opportunities in the state. Local author Kim McCarrel will showcase nearby trails that can take you to fabulous mountain views, pristine alpine lakes, open ponderosa forests, and scenic vistas. Join us for a fun evening of exploring the wonderful horse trails around Sisters — and beyond!

Kim McCarrel is an avid trail rider who has ridden the horse trails in Oregon and Southwest Washington for more than 25 years. Her trail guidebooks are “must-haves” for Pacific Northwest trail riders.

Kim has been mapping and writing about trails and horse camps since 2002. Her newest books are revised and updated editions of Riding Central Oregon Horse Trails and Riding Southwest Washington Horse Trails.

Kim lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband, Steve, two Portuguese Water Dogs, and a Tennessee Walker mare named Tex.

Doors open at 6pm, presentation begins at 7pm. Light refreshments will be available, $5 suggested donation
