Back Country Horsemen of Oregon member, Becky Hope was awarded the “Judy Mitchell Volunteer of the Year Award”, which recognizes exceptional stewardship and service to public lands at the Willamette Volunteer Appreciation event last Saturday.
In 2025, volunteers contributed over 40,000 labor hours valued at nearly $1.4 million! Thank you for the service of our outstanding volunteer community who work hard year round to steward our public lands.
Other award winners included:
• Adam Kirsch for the “Willamette Lasting Impact Award”, which recognizes volunteers whose service has made a profound and lasting impact on Willamette National Forest lands and its communities.
• Garrett Turner for the “Cascade Volunteers Trail Stewardship Award”, which recognizes exceptional trail volunteers who help ensure safe and reliable access to public lands in the Oregon Cascades.
