If you want to ride in Oregon’s Three Sisters, Mt. Jefferson, or Mt. Washington Wilderness Areas this summer, be sure to plan ahead. Twenty trailheads in the Central Cascades will require all trail users to have a permit to access the trails from June 15th through October 15th. About 40% of the permits available for a given day will become available at www.recreation.gov in a rolling ten day window before the permit date. The remainder will become available in a rolling window two days before the permit date.
