In addition\, we’ll be offering a cattle clinic on Friday before the show. This is a great opportunity to learn more about working with cattle in a low-stress\, supportive environment.\n\nThe first 12 people who register and pay in full will have the option of competing in TWO competitions over the weeekend. DESCRIPTION:Mountain View Equine and Terrebonne Horse Club have teamed up to give the community the opportunity to learn or practice working cattle affordable\, in a 2man sorting set up. We strive to keep the environment low key\, stress free and no judgment atmosphere to promote learning and practice. There will be no formal instructor\, but rather the opportunity to learn from each other and through doing and practice. No one minute timer per run\, if you make a mistake\, keep going or undo and start over.\nWe are so grateful to have our calves supplied by Dawn F Ranch. We plan to put this event on twice a month\, most months (subject to change). Kimberlee is a recognized Working Equitation Coach in USAWE’s Coaches Network\, has earned her USAWE Pewter\, Bronze\, Silver\, and Platinum Medals. Kimberlee is currently only the third person in the U.S. to have earned a Platinum Medal and the first to earn it with the new stricter requirements through USAWE. A graduate with distinction of the USDF “L” Judge Education Program\, Kimberlee has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has nearly completed her Gold.\n\nKimberlee is known for taking “non-traditional” dressage horses up the levels\, and her most recent dressage partner\, RedPrairie Storm (Dales Pony) earned the Reserve Champion placing in the Oregon Dressage Society’s 2021 State Championships in the Training Level Open Division. Kimberlee regularly travels to Portugal to train with World and European WE Champion Gilberto Filipe.\n\nRecognizing that Working Equitation uses dressage principles to create a relaxed\, athletic\, and obedient horse in both traditional dressage work and in dressage through obstacles\, Kimberlee believes that this sport creates the ultimate harmonious relationship with the horse. She enjoys working with all breeds of horses and teaches students from Introductory to Masters in Working Equitation\, and Training Level to FEI in Dressage. Kimberlee judges and teaches clinics in both Working Equitation and Dressage and is based in Corvallis\, Oregon.\n\nEntry Fees:Thursday New-to-WE Clinic Small Group Obstacle Session (4 or fewer people) 90-minute session on Thursday\, followed by open schooling on obstacles once clinic is over (approximately 5 pm) – $150/personThursday Experienced WE Individual Obstacle Session – 30-minute individual session on Thursday\, followed by open schooling on obstacles once clinic is over (approximately. 5 pm) – $75/person. Friday WE Clinic Private Dressage Lesson approximately 30-minute private session on Friday – $75/person\n\nStabling for Clinic (from Wednesday at 2 pm – Friday at 1 pm\, when we transition to show stabling) – $75 includes 1 bag of shavings\nSaturday/Sunday WE Show Entry Fee: $300 (includes 1 bag of shavings\, and stabling from Friday 1 pm – Sunday night. If you are not participating in the clinic\, please plan to arrive no earlier than 1 pm on Friday (honestly — NO EARLIER — if you arrive prior to 1 pm on Friday\, please plan to pay a ‘haul in fee’ to OHC and amuse yourself in the main facility rather than coming to the Prairie Arena). Additional bags of shavings can be purchased on site for $10/bag.\n\nTack Stall: $100\n(OHC Boarders who do not need stabling can request a $100 discount because they don’t need a stall)\n\nPLEASE DO NOT BRING OUTSIDE SHAVINGS IN — we are charged an extra $35 per stall if any outside shavings are used.\n\nCamping is available on site — please make reservations directly with the Oregon Horse Center if you are planning to camp (we do not handle the camping spot reservations at all).\n\nTo compete\, riders must be current members of USAWE\, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE. If you are participating for schooling only\, this requirement is waived.\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE: Because of the need to pay in full for the facility and Judge expenses\, regardless of weather or medical considerations\, no refunds can be issued for this event (no exceptions).
