SUMMARY:ODS Workshop - Mette Rosencrantz
DESCRIPTION:Mette Rosencrantz is a highly respected and experienced dressage trainer and competitor. She is a seven-time US National Championship competitor who has brought several horses and riders all the way up to International Grand Prix level. Born in Sweden\, Mette was for many years a member of the Swedish Dressage Team before moving to the US and becoming a US citizen. \nMette has competed at many big international shows with victories both in the US\, Europe and Australia. In 2017\, Mette was selected to represent the United States and competed twice as a member of the American Team in the FEI Nations Cup\, in Denmark and Sweden. \nMette received her teaching degree at Strömsholm\, Sweden’s prestigious school for riding instructors\, where she eventually became the head instructor. She was one of the first ones to observe the health and physique for riders with her book “Stretching for riders”. \nMette was here last October for the Trainers Workshop and received great comments on her teaching style. Come see for yourself! This event is open to ODS Members. Non Members can audit for an additional fee. Seating is limited so sign up early!!! \nODS will not be providing food at this event-so bring your own snacks/lunch. Water and coffee will be available. Chairs will be set up for you-so please leave yours at home. \nInterested in riding in this clinic? Please go to www.oregondressage.com. Application will be available to download. ODS looks for a variety of levels and horses to showcase. Cost to ride is $480 for 2 rides. Stabling is available but optional at $40 a night. Day stalls are available at $25 per day.

SUMMARY:Adult Amateur Workshop with Judge Debbie Riehl-Rodriguez
DESCRIPTION:This is a combination clinic and test riding workshop with Debbie Riehl-Rodriguez\, licensed FEI C/3* Judge\, FEI Young Horse 3*\, “S” Judge\, Freestyle and Young Horse Judge as well as an instructor. \nHave you ever wondered what the judge actually sees? What might be most important to them in a test at a certain level? How you can improve a movement and flow into the next one? How to show off you and your horse’s best to the judge? How to show movements that aren’t the easiest for you? \nDemo riders will show the current tests up the levels\, and participants will have the opportunity to comment and ask Debbie questions. Debbie will give her insight on common mistakes within the tests\, how to improve this particular rider/horse combination\, as well as “score” the test and provide comments. \nRegister Now! \nDemo Riders: Demo Rider spots will be filled with AA riders. To apply for a demo rider spot\, you must sign up for the 2 day Early Registration\, which ends on March 12th. All ODS members that have signed up by that date will be invited to apply for a demo rider spot via email. \nRegistration for 2 days will be available until April 9th…but the fee will be higher. \nTrainers and Youth are welcome to participate in the workshop. Open to all ODS members. Sign up to Join ODS\, or pay the non-member fee. \nParticipants will be spaced at a County Covid-compliant distance.
